I have a trs carbon on mine and I paid 675.00 plus tax. Nice looking pipe, going to put in a 13 to 1 piston before going to Silver Lake next week. I can spank HRC kitted trx's and yfz's also.

I think some are alittle confused here. The full pipe for a honda trx450r in the comp version is a stainless steel tri-oval. The old style(oval can) is not offered in a full system for a 450r. So the ti and the comp(stainless) full systems are of the tri-oval configuration. Although I think the oval silencer is offered in a slip-on. I hope this clears up the confusion........

There is a full system OVAL comp series pipe on rocky mountain. And its the one that cost 397. http://www.rockymountainmc.com/home.asp?sid=0004893997

Rocky mountain put the OVAL comp in the "comp series full exhaust section" So if what you are saying is true....that picture should be a Tri-oval?

your right it should be a picture of the tri-oval but it isn't. The comp series Yoshi pipe for the 450r from rockymountain is the tri oval.

Well all of the stainless full systems I have seen for the 450r have been of the tri-oval design. That includes the one my local dealer has, the three I saw at silverlake(one at DAR) and of coarse my own as well as others on this site.
As far as the pic on rockymountains site, It's the same as they've always had they just added a 450r version and never upgraded the pic, the pic isn't even of a 450r exhaust system(on a 450r the band that goes around the pipe should be at the rear and the other mount should be at the bottom, not the top), and the one in the titanium section isn't a 450r pipe either.
On the yoshi site they don't give any pics so it's real hard to determine what they are referring to. They seem to offer alot of versions, but no pics. I guess if you were real concerned I'd just call or email yoshi or rockymountain.
If anyone has a pic of a stainless yoshi full system that IS NOT a tri-oval post it. Other wise I'll stand by my original post........

ok the rocky monutain site when u click on Yoshimura Comp Series Full Exhaust Systems , it show a picture of an oval system, the price is 397 dollars.. that system is reall the comp series trs stainless.. because thats what i ordered and thats whats pics is posted at the first of this thread.. i know all the signs point to no, but it really is trxtex ordered the same pipe for the same amount.. the pics on the site look like old pics anyways and its not the right ones.. hope this clears up some of the confusion

the comp has the same power gains as the tri-oval...the tri-oval is just lighter.

brif

I think what pep is trying to say is the stainless comp for a 450r which is a tri-oval makes the same power as the ti-version which has the tri-oval can also.

You can also get the Yoshimura Carbon Fiber Competition Series Full System at http://www.motoxoutlet.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=444 for only $450. Sounds like a good deal to me considering its originally $600.

I got mine from Rocky Mountain and it is the TRS. I have to say I am really impressed(not that I can compare it to any other pipe though). It's like a whole new machine.Power right where you need it, and you can even lug it, no reason to do that though.

Is the pipe loud? What would you say the db rating on the pipe would be. I would like to stay in the 95-97 range

brif
07-19-2004, 06:56 PM
If isn't already in that range, you can run the bigger of the 2 optional TEC inserts and get into that range you want.

msthondadude
07-19-2004, 07:19 PM
I don't know what the db rating is, It is a little loud, but it isn't as loud as some pipes that I have heard. They do make the TEC kit for it. All I can say is if I had to choose again it would be the yosi (just my opinion)
