valve cover gasket

I bought a hotcam and forgot to order the gasket with it,so I went to the local dealership anjd the guy said there is no valve cover gasket,is this true?what do I do when I put the cam in?

Use the old one. They are metal and can be used several times.

I was also told this,then I was told that is only for the head gasket not for the valve cover gasket.

the part # for the gasket that goes between the head and valve cover is: 12391-KCY-671

There IS a gasket for the valve cover... I just re used my old one when I rebuilt my motor 2 weeks ago after I broke my shift shaft. I wouldnt reccomend re using head gaskets or base gaskets, but the valve cover can be used again at least once.
