uh we ran a yfz in the 12 hour race. I don't quit think the stock lights will cut it. we ran the stock lights and some trail tech lights. together they seemed to make things bright enough. If I had to do it again I would put brighter bulbs in the stock lights too.

LONG story........... you might have to ask Jeff what we did. I thinkn he got the whole handle bar kit but he got it for regular bars not Fat bars so we ended up making some stuff for it!!!

No problem with stator or any other electrical parts. The one thing we did do was wire it so that we could could turn the stock lights and the trail tech lights on seperate. we also set it up so you could turn one or both of the trail tech lights on. something about if I breaks it will pull a bunch of power and you want to be able to turn that off.

I don't think so. at least not the same team. something about me being too slow!!!! I think both my team mates are running the 6 hr event but on seperate teams

YOU NEED A TEAM MATE?????

hahahah:rolleyes: darn fast guys!!!!

This should be a huge event... I heard rumor of Natalie and Borich teaming up???

I also heard Ballance may be up here for it!! Its gonna be a great time..........I wonder if Pro-Am racers are gonna get away with runnin the A class??? I do not think it should be allowed, but I know of 2 teams already that have Good Pro Am racers teaming up with A guys for the A class????????

at the 12 hour event they were very strick about not letting anyone with any pro experiance race in the A class. We were Forced to run Pro.

The least expensive thing you can do to get good light is replace the stock lights with our YFZ stock location lights - $119. This alone will triple your light ouput. If your budget allows, add a pair of the bar mounted HID's ($200). The bar mounted HID's will help in corners by turning with your bars. We have hardware to put these lights on any bars (7/8, 1-1/8, stock stem or aftermarket stem).

With the above setup, the stock stator is maxed out. After riding with good lights you will never want to ride in the dark with stock lights again.

If you still want more light you will either need a stator mod or some helmet lights and a Li Ion battery. Helmet lights make a huge different in tight/blind corners - it is like riding in daylight. Beware that helmet lights and heavy dust are not the best mix. If you expect to be in heavy dust, put the helmets on a switch and just run them when you are out front...

Pro-AM riders are allowed in the A Classes for 6 & 12 Hours Races. At the ATVA GNC Nationals you can run both A Class & Pro-Am classes - Many Top A class riders do this like Pat Brown who runs both A & ProAM..
Most of the rules for the 6 & 12 Hours are basically right out of the ATVA rule book.

yea I read that last night......good point Pro Am racers run A in the GNC's so it will probably be OK!

30+ is for anyone 30 or over even if your a Pro.
You can have 3 Pros on your team if there all 30 or over.
