works vs stocks

I have an 03 400ex and want to upgrade front shocks but I have heard evryone knock the works shocks. I dont have the money for elkas or tcs etc but I do want more than what the stocks have to offer, they just plain dont cut it. I want to get more control throught the travel because the whoops on tracks are killin me. What to do?

Works would be great in your situation man... There is nothing that bad about works shocks, its just they dont compare to the big dogs of PEP and all that. Works are 200 times better than stock. You wont regret getting them trust me.... Try to get the ones with rezzies triple rate. If not, even the non rezzies will give you the improved handling you are looking for...

I have a set of Works triple-rates on my 416 and I love them. They are a huge improvement over stock. The Works get the job done. People just don't give Works enough credit. I have ridden bikes with higher dollar shocks and to me it's just not worth it if you are in a tight budget.

My Works are great IMO. They do just fine will all the stuff I would throw at it....on the other hand, I wouldn't want to test them out like Juggalo did/\/\/\! Dayum man...that is some serious *** air!:eek2:

Works are not bad shocks, they are definitely a big improvement over stock. They just don't compare to the high-end shocks.

If you want to compare it to cars, the stock shocks are like a little Neon, the Works are like a Dodge Stealth, and the Elka's are like a Corvette. That Stealth isn't quite as good as the Corvette, but still MUCH better than the Neon.

I have works front and rear shocks. Up at the rausch creek exriders ride was the first time I really got to test them out on a few big jumps. They soaked up almost everything I threw at them getting atleast 8-10 foot of air and not feeling anything. Ive rode several quads with elkas and they really dont compare but they are a ton better then my old stock shocks.

look on ebay for your new shocks..the dealerssell them o nthere for the cheapest prices

in my eyes there a big improvment over stock, i got mine off ebay for 300, and there works triple rate with rezzy's, thanks god no 1 else was looking i got them for 220 less then what there askin lol

Man I just missed out on a set of works duel rate w/rez for 100 dollers and I rode the bikle they were on but he sold them before I hade a chance to come up with the cash. That fricken jump was NUTS...ME LIKE where was that and what gear were you in.
