Hey fellas, Less than a week left on delivery of my 440{really a true 430 when calculated} It's 11:1 and has an 88.5 piston.

I'am curious if anyone has used the Klotz Octane Booter before and if you all have heard good or bad things. I bought a case of it and figured I would ask here before I put in the tank. Thanks for your time, Reaper

There has been a lot of information posted on the subject, much of it was written by me, and I don't have the energy to re-type it all now. Try a search for octane booster, you'll find lots of good info.

I'm not sure of the exact make-up of Klotz, and there are many different methods to increase octane, some good, most bad. In a nutshell, I'd advise against the octane booster. If you need higher octane, do it right and get race gas.

only octane boost ive used is stp and P1J, the P1J is good stuff, notice a big differance and formulated for air-cooled machines

You don't need octane booster with 11:1 anyways.

I am kinda wondering about booster also. I am getting a 10:8.1 piston, but here at the pump the highest I can get is 90 octane. I was going to mix a third of a bottle of Klotz to a 5 gallon gas can and see how that did. Think I will be ok??
