250x reverse

I have a 1987 250x and want to know if there is any way to eliminate the reverse cut out. Riding in the snow it makes it hard to back out of a drift when it cuts the power out.

Take the two wires from the switch near the rear brake pedal, follow them around to the other side where you can disconnect them, then make a jumper wire and connect them together.
