it's cut behind the plastic, i thought the regular grab bar ext. ( rocky moutian ) ect. used the whole grab bar for there support?

is this not true?

the ones in rocky mountain use the whole bar for support. just weld some tabs onto it and use a 250r grab bar.;)

Thats what you need to do... Unfortunately there is no way around welding tabs for mounting it.

call up jeff or dusty and get a prm grab bar for the 400ex it uses u-bolts and bolts to the subframe no welding required and you don't need the stock grab bar either i use to have tabs welded on my sub-frame for 250r grab bar then i came accross the prm desert grab bar so i put one on my bike, couldn't be any stronger

If your not doing MX there is a great solution for extended trail riding plus it bolts up with U-bolts as well (no cutting, drilling required). Click here---> Click Me! (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2482935941)

i'm postive that requires the grab bar still attached since it's so long and he no longer has it so it wouldn't do him a bit of good, plus that's a grab trunk not a grab bar that sucker wouldn't last a day on my bike

Take ur bike to the loacl welding shop and get them to fabricate something, take along a pic of a dg rear grab bar or something....i lost my sub frame too and they made me one with steel reinforcement, and its awsome, pretty cheap
