What he is saying is that the '92 GNC champ was riding a 250R which obviously doesnt have a cam since it is a 2 stroke. Doug gust was the first rider to win a GNC moto on a 4 stroke and that was on his TC built DRZ440 in '01 or something like 10 years after when you are talking about. If it is a CAM then there is no way that it could be from a championship bike from '92. If no one even won a moto on a 4 stroke until doug gust in '01 how could they win a championship on one in '92?

its probably a TC GNC GRIND... gnc champion probably stands for the type of cam it is... gncc is low end... gnc is top end... its most likly a top end power cam;)

there are other classes besides pro...im sure its from the bike that won a fourstroke class in 92...(Travis spader used to race fourstrokes before he turned pro). it just says GNC champ not GNC PRO champ

what kind of motor is it?

think its a yfz motor.. i know tom does what tommy said he did, and am pretty sure that is all it is..just the ingraving they put in there so they know what parts to use, and how to polish and port it..GNC/GNCC/ what style n so on..but maybe your right n got travis spader's old 300ex cam or something!

the only four stroke that was really being raced at that time was a 250x or 300ex..everyone else was on 2 strokes anyway..

I have a TC 929 National cam in my 300ex. Tom Carlson hand grinds the 929 National on the cam to mark it. 929 is the xc grind.

the 1992 GNC pro champion was Gary Denton, i was at Lorettas and watched him that year.
