I just put new plastics on my 400ex yesterday.I bought a new factory effects graphics kit and seat cover also.

I have never installed a graphics kit before. And it didn't come with any instructions.A few guys have told me to keep the plastic wet so you can move it around.

Also the peices don't fit exactly like I think they should.Do they need to be trimed or am I just retarded?

Thanks for any help.

clean the plastic very good. then spray some soap and water one the plastic and put teh graphics one. this will allow you to move the graphics around to the point where you want them. then take a license or credit card and go over the whole set of graphics this will get some of the water out and get the air bubbles out of them other than that i can help much more

I just put a Factory Effex graphics kit on my 400ex last week.

I used the wet method to put the decals on. I found a recipe for the solution that works really well.

In a squirt bottle put:
5 drops of liquid dish soap
6 ounces of water
1 or 2 ounces of rubbing alcohol

Pull the backing off of the decal and mist the adhesive side of the decal with the solution.

You then put the decal in position and squeegee all of the liquid out. The decal will git tackier and tackier as you squeegee it.

I also used a heat gun to help the decal go around any edges.

I think it turned out pretty well

Seems everything went good but the seat cover. I spent some time trying to get mine right then I got fed up and took it to an upholstery shop and in 30min and $20 later It was perfect. :p
