Does anyone ride trails without an airbox lid?Im deciding if i should take it off or not,how harsh f conditions do you ride in with the lid off?i have a friend with a 250r and no lid and he rides all the trails we do with a k&n and no outerware and it seems to be fine through mud,and dusty conditions.Just wondering

with lid off and k&n, just make sure you have a precharger. I run with a precharger and its been two years, no problemsl.

i rode trails w/o the lid and yea it was more maintance but the power was worth it, just make sure u dont summerge the air box so water doesnt get in. that made it a little trickier for me at some points

is the power difference in doing this really worth loosing the reliabililty/maintenence of having the lid?

not really.......I would just keep it on if you're riding trails.

cleaning the air filter isnt really a back breaking experience.
