St. Anthony July 4th Weekend

Hey we are going to St. Anthony's on July 2nd till July 5th. We went last weekend and had a blast I wish I could have found Quadjunkie but the dunes are bigger than I imagined. We will be staying at the Blm ( lake elgin? Area?) cause everywhere else is booked up.

I probably did see you we went all the way to Devils Dune Choke Cherry is HUGE!! I didn't go up but I went down I got scared and my bike was in neutral I was scootin!! If I would have been thinkin I would have put it in gear and goosed it then I would have had steering I went straight into the bushes. My husband thought I was a retard but I had to laugh I am such a wuss. How close do you live to the dunes? We are going to camp at the blm by lake egin. have you camped there before?

We are approx 4.5 hours from there I wish I was closer. I have never camped at Egin, but some friends of ours does.We stay at the Best Western usually when we go. IF I can swing a short trip this year once more we will prol. camp so we can save a few $$ Did you have fun at Thumder?? Was this your 1st time to St. A's.....Hope you had a good trip........

Ya this was my first trip. I think I like it better than Dumont. I'm about 4 hours away too. Do you ever come down to Little Sahara Dunes in UT?

We are goin to Dumont for thanksgiving. I can't wait I can see all of my old friends ( I used to live in Vegas) Dumont is only about an hour and a half from Vegas. And for us Vegas is about 6 hours away. We live about an hour and a half away from Little Sahara too. We would go there for the 4th but it's a bit too warm. There where only 4 of us that went to St. A's last time our friends ride banshees and they brought one of there friends banshees in case there's broke down. And suprise suprise all three broke down at least 2 in the 3 days we were there. The couple we are goin up with on the 4th also own Banshees. I swore last time it was the last time riding with a 2 stroke. Hopefully they can keep them running this weekend. I got some pictures I will have to post them when I get home tonight. I don't get off till 3 and then I have to work my horse so hopefully I will remember. I need to talk all of our friends into coming up sometime we get a pretty big group together but most of the time they bail out saying they can't afford it and when we get back they end up buying somethin expensive for thier trucks or bikes ( can't afford it??? SURE!)

No, I havn't seen the pictures yet. I want to race we can start up a girls quad class but we need 1 more girl. I think I will just race with the boys there are only 4 of them. It's a local mx track it's small but it has 4 big table tops:devil: and a double and a whoop section. They race every Friday for most of the year. As soon as I can stay in town for a weekend and there isn't any rodeos or Barrell Jackpots I will race and I will for sure get pictures of that lol. I raced my yz 125 in Vegas and then a YZ250 but all that got me was a seperated shoulder, broken elbow, 2 broken ribs and a lot of scars ( all on my elbows for some reason) .

That would be cool they don't really have to many quad events here in UT it's all about the bikes. You should come down to Little Sahara sometime maybe Labor Day.

Is choke cherry bigger then sand mountain in little sahara Ut, like is it longer or steeper??????

I have never been to Sand mountain but from what people say Choke Cherry is one of the biggest sand Hill in the West Coast.It's way steep.

I would say Sand Mountain is longer but Choke Cherry is wayyyy steeper it's huge I am to scared to go down or up it lol I'm a huge wuss.:p

Have you rode Devils Dune Yet????The first time I was at St. A's the sand wasnt as steep and I had a 300ex, I wanted to try that bowl sooooooooooo bad...Buyt my ole man told me No Way..:( Glad I didint .... I wrecked it in a smaller bowl and went to the bottom where all the lava rock was........
I heard a Lady had a bad accident over the 4th over there....Know anything about it??

Stiffy, where in Utah do you live? What track has races every Friday night? I'm guessing Goshen.

We usually race at Tooele or Delta. You're right when you said it's all about the bikes here. It would be nice to race on a quad only track.

Quadjunkies - I didn't see any wrecks that weekend well, outside of our group I should say. I did ride devils dune it is very cool I get to 5th gear by the time I get to the bottom it is very fun.

Buddah - I live in West Bountiful my brother races on the Tooele track almost every weekend as soon as I get my new quad I am going to try it out. We also went down to Delta a few months ago that is a really neat track. Oh yeah if you know anyone looking for a 04 YFZ450 blue I have one for sale I am selling it in stock form it's in great shape I've only ridden it like 5 times if that. - Stef

Stiffy. What is your brothers name. I raced the first race of the year at Tooele. I took a 1st place in the first moto and a 2nd place in the second moto. Lost to Skyler Strom. Have you heard of him? Sorry the boss came. My little brothers name is Morgan Blackner last year he raced 125 junior and this year he is racing one class up from junior on his YZ250F. Is there a race this Friday?
