Ok,...I bought a set of Holeshot MXR 18" for the rear on my 416. Last weekend I went to the track to try them out. Before the end of the day they were completly eaten up. There wasn't any knobs left on the tire! That p*ssed me off because it was only 1 ride. I heard they wear really fast but I didn't think they would be gone in 1 ride. So,.....is there any other 18" tire for a 9" rim that will not wear as fast.

I wasn't on a flat track, I was riding mx. I guess I will give the klaws a shot.

Thats what ya get when you purchase 2-ply soft as hell compound tires!! Tires are my pet peeve, I'am sick and tired of having to plug and buy new 2-ply's.....so....I only ride 6ply now and man I can truly say I will never go back. Since I'm not racing mx all the time, what do I care if my tires are a few pounds heavier. My vote will always go in favor of longevity. My 440 pulls em around just fine. {been waiting to vent about 2-plys for quite some time :] } Reaper

thats what the 2-ply tires are made for, motocross. if you go trashing them around in rock gardens your wallet will be hurtin :(

6plys are just beastly and personally would never run them on a mx track...

My friend had the the holeshot MXR's and those went out as fast as yours. I have the regular holeshot MX tires, and they are holding up decently. My next tires will definetly be klaws though. They are a 4 ply MX tire.

How do the tamer's hold up. I don't want to be purchasing any more tires after one ride.:grr:

RAZR MX's are the best rear tires I have found for MX. THey are tested for something like 1000 miles on pavement so they are built to last! I ahve been running the same set going on 2 seasons now and the knobs are still crisp with lots of life left. By the way, the Razr's are way better than the klaws in my opinion, and will definitely last longer but you can get what you want. Razrs are where its at...
