View Full Version : Gibson Frame

What's the news on the Gibson 250R frames, are they any good?

I saw them at K&K: www.kandkatv.com/gibson.htm

They are $2300, how does that price compare to Leager or Roll Design?

If I decide to get a cheaper frame I will get Arens, but I haven't decide if the more
expensive frames are worth it.

Thanks in advance.
Chris

I havent heard much about gibson frames.
quad 041 got a bent one from k and k.

"If I decide to get a cheaper frame I will get Arens"

are you crazy?
Id rather buy a arens over a gibson, lonestar, houser,EVEN laeger.

Arens arent known for being the million mile frame for nothing!

Yes Arens are really Good. If you are going all out on this 250R, get a Walsh Frame.

I would go with arens only 1800 and it is the longest lasting so far.

What`s the Wait on Arens Frames?

4-6 months

Beerock, Are you getting a Arens Frame?

4-6 Months is a Long Wait. If my Brother Bent or Broke his Stock Frame we would need one faster then 4-6 Months. Somebody needs to Step it Up and have Frames ready to be Bought.

Actually the wait for Arens frame is more like 11 months and Walsh is about 16 months. My local shop just got a red Arens frame in today. It is sweet. They have a black one comming in in the next couple of days. My other local shop placed an order for the walsh chassis about four months ago and Walsh told him it should be there by the middle of the 2003 season. The reason arens takes so long is they make the steering stems for all the new cannondales.

Is there a sudden surge in the need for aftermarket chasis parts for quad because the wait for everything is huge and they still charge you a ton. I mean you gotta wait 6 months for pep's or axis shocks, long wait on almost every frame I guess. I don't just seems like they rape you with the price and make you wait forever. I wounder how popular a frame builder or just about anything having to do with quads would be if they had little wait for parts and dont rape you with the price?

il hav to wait till nex race season to get my frame, il jus really heavy gusset work, check and reweld and bad welds, and hope it holds

James, Are those Frames for Sale to People? Arens is Behind a lot. Walsh is behind because he hand makes everything. Walsh is the Best though.

Nausty, Everything in Quad Riding is Expensive. The Shocks, Chassis Parts, Motor Parts, just about Everything. Then the Wait on that Stuff is Nuts. That`s one reason Elka has to be doing Great. I hope I can Find out on the Low Wait, Low Price, Chassis Deal.

Also, LRD is making 250r and 400ex Frames Now.

The wait for walsh is around 16 months like james said. I want a new frame for the 2004 season. I think i will order a walsh in a couple of months.

Ok The shop is in Hacketstown NJ. That is the one with the arens frame. The name is C&G Racing. I am at school right now, but when I get home I will post a phone number. The red one that they already have is for one of there sponsered riders. The black one comming in I think is for sale. They are really nice guys down there. They have lots of stuff in stock. They have tons of tires, a arms, swingarms, pipes, skidplates and everything else in stock.
As for walsh he is taking on more than he can handle. He works pretty much by himself. Everyone including his dad is telling him to get his butt into gear.

Mrusk, A Walsh Frame will be Sweet. You better Order one Now.

James, That C&G Racing sounds Cool. There is nobody around here that has Quad Parts in Stock. I wish somebody had a Laeger Frame and Stuff. Our Dealers are not very Good. Walsh is going to be Slow. He makes everything by Hand and by Himself. I would Wait to have the Top Quality work though.

My friend got an Arens from Columbia Motorsports for $1500 shipped, had it in around 2 weeks. You might try Janssen Motorsports, I know they usually have some in stock!

When I last emailed Janssen they had 6 Arens Frames in Stock.

I dont think the wait is 11 months for the Arens frames because they just turned everything over to machine made frames, so production is alot quicker now.

BTW, I love my Arens frame.
