air box broke

i was cleaning my air filter the other day and i noticed that one of the tabs on the stock air box broke off and i think it happened off a jump or something but anyway is there anyway i can put a new metel bracket or something?

That happened to mine too. Thats why i had an aluminum box made for mine!!

i took flat alum stock about 1 in wide and 1/8 thick and bent it to loop around my sub frame then bolted it to the air bob

hey i just got my 400 and i was striping it done to clean everything.... and i noticed that mine was broke too.. on the back where it connects to the frame it is cracked, i was pizzzzed then i was like hey ill just get aa luminum one so its all good hahaha

Just find a machine shop and have them make you an aluminum box. if you buy one there like around $200. Thats crazy. my friend at the machine shop made me one and its awesome. It hold all the electronics in the box and he made it 1 inch longer to fit on my Lectron carb better. It is awesome and he only charged me like $75. He gusseted my frame, cut off the tool case bracket, battery case bracket, and light mounts off the subframe and smoothed them out, fixed a couple of other things for me and made the box all for $100!!!

Give bigbore81 a shout,,I just did a review on his air boxes,,$105 is a steap price but the boxes are nice and aren't gonna break anytime soon..

Last time I checked OEM airboxes were $12... Personally, I'd just get one of those and build a small metal support bracket... Lighter, cheaper.... Unless you really want to move your battery into the box.
