I just finished putting a 416 kit (see below for exact specs) in my 400ex and was wondering what type of gains I will have at the dunes. I ride at St. Anthony and before the 416 kit I could climb thunder mountain but not even come close to Choke Cherry. Do you think I will now be able to climb Choke or is this still not enough?

You are never going to get any where with those geckoes. Go out and buy some 8 paddle haulers and you should be good.

Gecko's suck, I know from experience. I only have a piped 400 and the Gecko's took away sooo much power it was unbelieveable. I am now running Kings Turbo 8 paddle. They are identical to Haulers, 1/2 the price. Seriously, the Gecko's look cool, but do not get you anywhere but behind.

You should feel quite a pit of power difference. I was just at St A's a couple days ago and was able to climb everything except Choke. It was really steep at the top. I did make it up once but it was in 1st gear. It all depends on the sand conditions as well.

Also try running a 14 tooth front sprocket. It will help out a lot at the dunes.
