I am looking for a new set, and have been checking everywhere, but they prices flux so much between places. I need 6ply for my 400ex with stock rims. What do you guys think I should pay, or where is the cheapest? I can't believe the differences in some sites; up to a $20 difference per tire! Thanks for the info!

You might wanna try asking this in the steering and suspension forum.

Does anybody use Kenda Klaws? How do they compare? They are a lot cheaper and I have heard good things.

I agree, I wont use ANY tire but Maxxis bottom line!!! For trails the Razr 2 is UNBEATABLE. ITP finally saw the light and has now come out with their ripoff version of the Razr 2 (Holeshot H-D). For MX, I have found the Razr MX's to be the best performing tire other than grooved tamers (and they last the longest). If you go with the Razr 2's or even regular 6-ply Razr's you will love them no doubt! I might be a little biased when it comes to an opinion on the Kenda's though because I think they are the most over rated tires in the world. I dont like the Klaws one bit after trying them on a track on my buddy's KFX. Never tried the XC version but can tell you that it wont stack up to the super gnarly tread pattern and lugs on the Razr 2....

When you get the fronts, get the 21x7x10, not the 22's. The Razr 6 plys are a little taller than stock as it is, and I found that the 22's were entirely too tall. Just my opinion, some people like the extra ground clearance. The 21's will give you similar ground clearance, but much better handling characteristics and less sidewall area to get ripped, sliced, and punctured... I have Razr 2's on ITP baja rims as my other tire setup when Im not racing MX or riding tracks (not often) and like I said, my experience has showed that the 21's perform better than the 22's if you ask me...

tamers r only good on tracks and hard packed stuff...u get in a lil mud and ull be in bad shape. if i got tamers it would b because i race nonstop

WHAT THE F____ (flip) WHAT ABOUT THE REARS

TC426EX

The rears are a littl over 20" inflated too... You would have the same problem with the holeshot HD that just came out. The razr 2's are extra beefy and the lugs look like they are made for roaming the moon with a lunar lander!! Make up your mind quick man... Youll probably be able to return the fronts to get the 21's before you use them, and the rears should be fine...
