ummm....prolly wouldn't last as long or be as strong...i asked pappy something like this and he said the same thing i just said,if your planning on getting them pc'd try to beadblast or sandblast the chrome off:confused: :huh (can you even do that??)lol better ask pappy on this one....and BTW they are nickel, the second to last step before chrome:devil:
you can powdercoat over chrome, pappy has done it before with trans blue on a set of scoops i believe. from what i remember the problem with it is that the pc doesnt stick as good to the chrome  i know with the chrome lowers that i sent pappy he had them stripped down first

You can pc over chrome. I do it regularly for the harley, street bike and car people. But it is correct that it wont be near as strong as standard pc due to it not having a rooted bond on such a smooth surface. Also, older chrome will have weathered and it can cause contamination under the pc causing it to flake. Its used more for looks then durabilty.
Pc'n over polished aluminum (trans colors) works alot better then chrome and is a bit more durable.
On atv's its a catch 22....make the quad killer with fancy colors and hope they last...or use a pc that is more durable but with less appeal.
