FDO 493 rips!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got done putting the FDO 493 in the quad. I heat cycled 4 times and then had to let her rip. Wow does this motor make the power I was looking for. It pulls so hard down low and continues all the way to redline. I’m going to change the gearing to 16/37 to fully necessitate all of the torque this thing makes. I have not raced my buddy’s yfz 450 but I’m thinking I will beat him pretty good. He has gytr pipe jet and filter.

I’m going to Idaho over the fourth to Choke Cherry Hill to see how she climbs. Is any body else planning on going to Idaho?

yeah they really rip. I just finish my FST 500 and with 16 / 34 gearing I hit 83mph.on the road on a small inclind going up hill.
I will drop down the gearing to 15/34 to really get the power out of it. since it will rev higher I sould get about the same speed but alot more power.
