i just rode my 450 the first time sun . it seemed hard to ride in trails or up some hills . i traded my 03 400 for it . is first gear n second long or is it just me ? i dropped a tooth on front on my 400 and loved it . should i do this on the 450 ? also what pipe should i get n some helpfull hints for mods guys tyvm

if you look around there are many threads about this "problem." all you have to do is get used to it, you will realize that having a long first gear is actually nice. just get some seat time in:)

I would get a 13 tooth front sprocket. It helps out especially with stock tires. You can get sprocket from CRF450 dirt bike that is 13 tooth. If running 18 inch rears, may not need.
