Within a couple weeks I am ordering Trans. Red Houser a-arms and swinger. Hiper wheels(what color?)..and MUCH more stuff.

My question is, what can I do to match with the red a-arms and swinger? Graphics etc.? Anything you think would look cool tell me.

Frame will not be PC'd and fenders will stay blue!

Try and keep ur quad 2 basic colors, the red wont really mix with a silver frame and blue plastic

But if u cant change the A-arm color, then atleast buy red rims, might match and look somewhat good

I like the idea of the YZ blue. I would go with chrome upper arms and stem later on when you get one. It will add some extra style to it I guess. Are you getting LT arms and the round housing swinger?

Yea i will be ordering the stem also! it will be chrome..

And yea I am getting LT front end with Elkas and round housing swinger with Elka rear shock...i can't wait..only bad part is I am selling the Cannondale:(

Ok the chrome will look good. Also I would get their steering bottom for the stem also. I think the non adjustable one is $45. The LT front end with Elka rear shock and linkage is the way to go. I'm sure you won't be mad at the fact you sold the CDale when you are done.

I think if I got a YFZ, I would run a 250r rear end. Get the carrier, axle, anti-fade, rear sprocket and brake rotor, then just get the Hipers with rear hubs. Then you could also run a rear 250r caliper, like the ATV Innovations one, that would be awesome.

If i order the houser swingarm and Elka shock. Could I buy the linkage later on and not have to get the shock revalved?

I don't understang the linkage deals. Is it just like a link that turns it into long travel?

I believe you can buy the shock, and than send it in at a later date to make it long travel, and get the link. I'm not 100% sure on that one though, so wait for more people to respond.

You can buy the linkage later on, but I believe you will have to get different springs and may be have the shock revalved. The shock itself is not longer, but I think the linkage puts the shock at a different angle or something and makes the ride much better. It might not sound like much, but everybody that has them loves the way it rides with the linkage. I suggest spending the extra money up front, I think you would be glad you did.

IMO i think the bottom a-arms in a trans blue with chrome tops would look great...and a trans blue swinger ....from what it sounds like,it will look pretty good on the quad...and BTW nice quad roostin

Ok I found the linkage for $180...now how much more is the LT shock than a standard rear shock? I've never really paid attention to these kind of rear ends, kinda new to me..

Actually if you buy the linkage at the same time you buy the whole new rear shock, it's no more money. The shock cost the same because they just go ahead and put the springs and valve it for the linkage. I guess that's what I was trying to point out in my last post, if you just get it all at once, you will save money rather then buying the different springs and what not down the road.

ohhhh...i got ya. I think.

I was going to order from C&D. If I order the linkage AND the shock..they will go ahead and set the shock up with new springs and everything? So really I am ony paying the $190 for the linkage and the price of the standard shock? Thanks...

i know where you're coming from roostin.. i had no idea what a linkage was because i was used to my 300ex. but my next quad will be a 450r..and i hear that there linkage sucks, so i guess i'll need to read up on linkages.. what 300exrida said sounds like the best color combo's ;)

I believe you got it. You should just be paying the extra $190 for the linkage, and the shock will still be normal price. That's how it was at least, just check with C&D.

Please excuse the bad photoshopping but, I think with some elka's the red will fit in, I love the black ringed Hipers :)

a blue/orange/chrome quad would look bad ***

blue lower a-arms
chrome upper a-arms
orange frame (when you'll doing it)
chrome stem
blue or orange swinger
blue ringned hipers

i like your idea of the "blue out". trans blue lowers with chrome uppers, tran blue swingarm, some misc trans blue and chrome parts and blue ringed hipers would look awsome i think. good luck with whatever you decide
