I grew up knowing a brakestand as holding the brake and giving it gas to spin the tires. Just as you are saying.

brake stand or burn out is hold the brake and gasing it!

nose wheelies or stoppies are when you ride on the front wheels;)

Wow, I've never heard the term "brakestand" not knowing the word it seems like it would mean stoppie, I can see how it could get confused. Everyone around where I live calls it "powerbraking" when you roast the tires like that. I guess I learned a new word today :confused:

Brakestand has always meant to hold the brake and burn out.

everybody that said a breakstand is holding the break and pressing the gas thus doing a burnout is correct.

looks like i was "more" correct :cool:

brakestand = burn out - 9
brakestand = stoppie - 3

Ive never heard of brakestand in my life....:huh

what you descirbe is a Brake toque, or power brake here. Brake stand seems like it fits a stoppie better than a brake torque to me, but you could be right.

:huh Never heard that term before. Why would it be called a brake torque? Seems weird to me. We've always called it a brake stand here, everywhere I've been it's been called that.

a "stoppie" which sounds like a pretty stupid name to begin with, sounds more like an endo than a real brake stand, which is holding the brake and hitting the gas, which is probably one of the worst things you can do to any vehicle...

I think a STOPPIE is what those rednecks do after they win a NASCAR race!

A powerbrake or brakestand is what people do when they have very weak power and can't burn the tire any other way !!

STOPPIE? That is funny !!
