Welll...My rod seems to have gotten pretty heated up and the dealership told me it wont last long but I have no idea and wont someone elses opinion its like a bright bronze color near the top but not like on the circular thing that holds the piston...So is it good to use or not..?
were you running a stock piston in it? if not what bore and compression?
if you were running over 11:1 compression you should really get an aftermarket one ;)

If you do end up replacing it go with the HD Curtis sparks rod or the Carillo... Both are virtually indestructible...

Mine was the same way and also a guys I did in the shop was the same. Thats part of the manufacturing from honda. This is what I was told because I also thought mine got over heated but it turns out it didn't. If you could post some pics, that would help me out a little more.

The color is normal. Just check that the pin is not loose in the rod. I would measure the rod, the service limit is .7900"

I measured the service limit and it was within the range so its all good :) thanks guys
