laker should step it up and make some color plastics like fullbore, some crazy cool color......that's why im gettin fullbore, cuz they make a sweet color call burnt orange.

Lakers quality is just as good. I have never broken a set yet.

I was in a bad racing accident where I got tangled up with another rider in the first turn. Both quads flipped many times and, All i have on my white 400ex plastics is a tire mark on the hood from another quad. The plastics didnt shatter or break from the force of another quads tire. I think they are great. I have run maiers before, and they are hands down in a different world compared to maiers. I would have to say that the Laker vs. Fullbore quality issue is pretty dead even.

I think its nice that the manufacturers dont all make the same colors and same design. They give us options.

I agree with pep on the color thing. If I was to invest money in new plastic I'd want something alittle off thewall. If laker could come up with something similar to the fullbore that retains the stock headlights that would be cool.

i am totally digging the fullbores though. i am going to get a set of black i do believe or maybe silver.

yea man definetly, if im gonna invest a few hundered dollars, why not invest a little more for something that stands out and looks good? At least I know i'll be buying the fullbore burnt orange (same color as walsh bikes). I think it looks real cool and is very unique

Laker is going to make a hood for the headlights too. So you still can use them.

They are both nice. I prefer the scoop over the lights. I take the lights off, don't even want to be tempted to ride my sled at the dunes after nightfall. That's when I throw back mucho fria cervesa!!

Great to have choices, I just hope Maier does a better job on the 450R than they did on the Raptor.

I think its just a summit bumper with the top part not put on. It looks sick though. I might have to go bye prm since they are stationed about 2 miles aways from where i live. :p

yea man i am gonna go with the fullbore burnt orange too. but i don't know what color would be cool with it though. i have seen orange and blue on yfz450s. but i havn't seen it on the 450r. i think i will try that when i get it

WOW, that fullbore stuff looks AWSOME. They are deffinetly getting my money soon. Any kind of relase date on it? I checked their site and they dont even list the 450R as being in the works.

Yeah tell me about it. They used to run that message board and I remember myself and all the other DS650 guys complaining about the lack of aftermarket plastics and they kept saying "we are already working on it, it should be out shortly" then 2 months later they said "we are getting ready to start and would like to have someone donate their DS650 for a short time while we work on making the molds" :rolleyes: . I completely lost all faith in anything they said from there on. I see now they dont even have the board up and running.

I second that. I wrecked in the same race that norrisboat did, and it was a pretty nasty wreck. I'm not sure what the bike did between the time i got landed on, and when i woke up, but when I got it home my plastic mounting brackets were pretty smashed, and one of my air scoops was smashed flat against the frame. The plastic was still in perfect shape, no breaks, just bent the piss out of the brackets. These brackets were pretty stout steel too, and it bent them good. Oh my stem was also bent back against the tank.

What was laker custom thinking, neon ghetto old suzuki quad colors, and whats wrong with the predators front plastic( the rest I dont care) but with the decals peelled the Preddo looks psycho cool.
Fullbores Quality and clor will probably not be beaten for a long while, unless someone makes plastic as nice, durable, and lustrous with a cheaper tag on it.

laker and fullbore both look alright i guess but i still am a fan of the stock plastic with cut fenders, i really like the way honda did the side tank shrouds like the bikes.

They are Laker Custom Fenders (http://www.lakercustom.com/). They are awesome quality fender for the 450R and they fit great. I just installed a set on my 450R.

soon as they make the clear plastic for the 450r im buying it right up. they got it for the 250r on there site so wheres the 450r plastic?
