My friend has a new 300ex. He took his to the dealer to get the valve clearance adjusted. He says its part of break in. I don't think this is in the manual, but I thought I read something about it. Is this necessary?
Thanks

Keeping your valves adjusted properly is a good thing ;) MIne were way outta whack when I bought it & it runs sooooooo much better now :) the engine mods helped too :D

So, should I just drop it off at the dealer and have them check it? Its still under warranty.

Sure as long as it's under warranty, I don't know if doing it yourself would void the warranty. It's very easy to do yourself also ;) once the warranty runs out, you just need a good set of feeler gauges & the clearance specs :):)
