Black PC'd frame, how does it hold up?

Just thinking out some stuff for my new yfz. I have never had a black frame. Does it hold up good, does it fade much?

Pappy, what do you know about black frames?

my banshee had a black frame and you just have to clean it alot

i've seen quiet a few black frames and the only thing i don't like about them is u can see dirt in every crack... u have to clean them constantly..


i think a white framed yfz blue plastic with blue a-arms swinger stem etc would be BADARSE!

Im not a big fan of white frames.

BUt anyways...i just got my yfz yesterday and it is all stock (blue). I need some opinions for when i start modding it. What color frame/arms/swinger should i go with?

I was thinkin trans red arms/swinger and a black frame....any other ideas?

lime green frame...

let me see if i can find a picture of this blue 400ex with a lime green frame and blue with green prism a-arms... its badarse looking...

Just a thought, roostin_dale, you could go with a hammertone color black, like a black vein instead of a clear/flat/jet, etc...whatever black.

The black vein may hide more of the dirt, so that it would at least appear to to be too dirty. Just a thought, bud.;)

hammertone is nice its whats on my a-arms... but its even worse to keep clean then black... bc its a textured pc the veins are down in and they hold dirt like u woudln't believe... i have to scrub them to make them look nice...

i think white frame with orange plastic, back swing arm and chrome a arms with black ringed hipers would be sweet. a member on here has something similiar to that only on a 400ex.

Gold pced frame with while or black plastics would be the most amazing mix, id like to see someone with it.

No I think he PC'd his blue yfz's frame. It has a texture to it...you can even tell by the pics..

i'm not a fan of black frames, mine use to be black. wasnt worth it, it didnt really stick out like i had wanted and i ended up goin with charcoal metallic this year.

I say the Elka red color for the frame/subframe, bottom arms, and swingarm. Then the upper arms and stem chrome.

Orange, definitely orange. Blue arms, blue swinger, a little chrome, and orange frame, then keep the blue plastic

black isnt too bad, but it does have a shine that will dull if its riden alot and especially with mud. it will hold up like any other solid pc color.


as far as the textures....my favorite is trans blue over silvervein. harlens newest quad will sport this color

Mine holds up fine...just looks dirty all the time unless I really take the time to shine it up. Getting it done orange soon.

It depends on what kind of condition it is in a year from now. I will probably redo a few things this winter...

Can you notice the blend standing back from it...or does it just look red?

From a distance it just looks red but when someone looks at it close there like thats pretty cool.
