Does anyone know if the front and or rear calipers from a 450R will fit on a 400EX?

I realy want to find out about the fronts.Im getting started on a new project and want the best brakes I can get.The twin piston brakes would do the job. When you got a built XR600R (with a big bore kit) in a quad you want some good brakes.:D

id imagine if you used 450R spindles hubs rotors calipers it wouldnt be a problem

Yep, you have to change it all except the rotors are same.

I've done this conversion on my CRF quad. It is well worth it in the end. I'm running a +3 Roll Design front end and if you run true 4 to 1 wheels they won't work because they hit on the top ball joints. I have the fake 4 to 1 wheels and they miss by 1/16". You have to swap out everything on the front except the rotors are the same. The 400ex hubs will not work because the offset is inset 1/2" more which causes the clearance problems on the ball joints. The hubs alone are $120 a piece, but you can get the spindles and calipers from service honda for about $178. I sold my 400ex front end except the rotors for $200 and I have about $275 in my 450R front end and it was WELL worth it. I now have about 5 times better braking too. I bought the hubs off of ebay for $100 if you're wondering.
