Bought a street bike for 100 bucks and got..

Well I was shopping for a cheap road bike, looking to spend no more then a grand basically. What I found I think was well worth my money. I paid 100 dollars for a 1978 Yamaha (yea i know..) XS750 Triple. It has 2400 miles on it and the only thing that was wrong with it was there was a ton of rust in the tank and I kreemed that and went through the carbs .

The guy I bought it from was a mechanic that went to MMI way back when, so the bike is up to tune cept for the rust in the tank. He rebuild the brakes and put a aftermarket exhaust on it. It's a 3 cylinder so it sounds so mean, when I get a digi I will load some pics.. Not a bad buy I thinks

can you say "resell"? u could make some profit out of that but if you really do like it then keep it & spend your extra cash on hoes

Haha yea, well I wanted a bike because of gas prices and I am going to FL to attend college so that means I will be doing a lot of driving, it will help out in the long run.

My buddy just bought a Honda CBR600 Hurricane, plus a parts bike... Both running, main bike has Yoshi pipe, needs farings, and a chain, and a little TLC. Both for $200...:macho They are late 80's...

there are a ton of used unwanted street bikes to be had for cheap. if your mechanically inclined they make cool projects and can also be resold for some spending cash

I must warn you, im using a VIDEO camera without a flash so the pic is just to give you the idea of what it looks like and prove im not making it up... This is just the main bike and he keeps it in my basement cause he lives in an apartment. He plans on fixing it up quite a bit... i'm in the market for an older street bike motor for a little project quad i have goin. an air cooled 750 would be nice..but hey if any of you guys got anything newer or bigger i'd like that too!

My dad and I are looking for one of those bikes. Belive him when he tells you. They are the meanest sounding bike you will ever hear. Like nothing else I have ever heard before. If you put it into a quad frame. I will kick you in the head. lol They are so sweet. 0-60 in just over three seconds. My dad used to have one. It was orange. and he said that it was so fast it was un beliveable. Take care of it. I will let you know when I get mine.
