I Just Got A 88 250x & my question is that it wasnt running good at all when i bought it , i adjusted the compression release valve & rebuilt the carb & put normal size tires on it 20" (it had 25" can u beleive that !? , it went about 100 mph with them things on it but took an hour to get there , hehe) anyways it runs good now starts & idles nice & has good throttle response , but when u put a load on it ie.. put it in gear it has very little torque or pull , its almost like it doesn't rev out , i am wondering if there is a timing advance like a boat motor would have after it is in gear & where that would be... in the cdi box? i really am lost on this , especially cuz it is running so good with no load on it , any help would be great. i mean the thing wont even wheelie with a 12 tooth sprocket on the front & my buddies wheelies with the stock one......grrrrrrr!!
