View Full Version : Steering Damper- Sticks out too much?

I just bought a used Denton damper for my 450R. It was on a 250R and the only modification I did was to file the stem clamps opening to fit the 450's larger stem.

I'm pretty sure I have it mounted right, but it seems to stick out the front too much. Looks like a branch could possibly catch on it.

I have seen pics of the dampers on 400EXs, but nothing else. They don't look like they stick out.

Anyone know where I can find a pic of the damper on a 450r?

They do tend to stick out some but it shouldn't be a problem.

I turned the frame mounting bracket around, I couldn't get it to work right the way it came.
