I was wondering if these pegs were for 86-87 frame or 88-89. I thought 88-89 pegs mount right on the frame and had bolt holes through them. while 86-87 had the hole in it where the pin slid through so they could pivot. I need pegs for a 87 frame so I don't want to buy these if they are for 88-89.

Why wouldnt they fit on a 87 frame? What is different between 86-87 88-89 frames where the pegs mount?

Those look just like mine and I have an '86. I don't know what the differences in the years are though:confused: . You attach those to a plate (w/ the pin and spring) which then mounts to the frame...

Thats what I was thinking. They look like they mount like my stock 87 pegs.

ok so i am wrong.....

the reason i said they were 88-89 is because the 86-87 has the plate to bolt onto the frame, which i didnt see in the pic. the 88-89 frame has the hole for the pin welded right to the frame. maybe they are interchangable? one uses the new plate and the other doesnt use the plate?

NO, 250rpilot I wasnt saying your wrong and I still dont know if you are. The guy selling them claims they are for a 88 also, but they look like 86-87 pegs so I figured I'd ask on here.

The 88's/89 are 1" taller than 86 years. On the roll footpegs for 88/89 they are either going to be the stock +1 higher than 86, or will be 86 height. I don't know if there is an actual difference in the footpeg mount that it pivots on.. let me go see what numbers on service honda are different.

On service honda, there is a different footpeg (the actual peg part) for each year, and there is only 1 mount for all years. So they "Should" mount up to any year frame no problem, just if they are 88-89 they'll be an inch taller. Email the seller and just ask him??;)
