I went to a new 1/4 mile track in Lufkin, TX last Saturday for the drags. Nothing new except I caught a glimpse of the new 450R.
Some kid (late teens, early twenties) had it. It looks like he did some suspension work for strictly drag racing because he had it dropped to where the a-arms were d@#m near parallel to the ground. I mean that thing had ground clearance of about 6"-8" or so.
The atv drags were 1/8 mile. His top speed in the 1/8 was a bit over 69. Beat a stock Z400 by a few lengths.
The most impressive thing were 2 Banshees (modded to h@ll). I the faster of the two ran a 7.0 elapsed time (I think) at 94 mph.
That 2 stroke was screaming.
