just got my flyer, i'm definalty going, who knows, i might even race. just wondering who all is going? august 12-15th see ya'll there weather i'm racing or not

also been looking at the classes and i got some questions, i'm assuming i cant race my 350 in the 91-200 two stroke/91-300 four stroke class right? i'll be 21 that friday, so youth production is out, how competetive is the 16-24 open class? or any of the c classes for that matter. i dont have anything wrong with the track, but i'm still not a fan of doubles-yes i know i'm a wuss, lol

i dont have much mx experience, but i'd like to go out and at least try to have a good time, but i would like a class where i atleast have a small chance of doing decent. thanks

I'll be there. Lorettas is the best, most fun race of the circut.

**dont plan on getting there friday like usual, the place fills up instantly, we went wednesday night and got a really good spot.

For classes, the 16-24 is the most intense, hard, fast, dangerous class other than the pros. I'd say stick with a C class, theres production, 4 stroke, 265, and Open.

You have to have an AMA or ATVA membership to race, which is $40 a year (you can buy one at the track). Enterance is around 35-40 per person (just to get in the gate). Friday's practice is $15-20$ all day. and each race entry is another $40.

Gate fee and registration is $80, then $20 more if you want to practice on Friday.

The worst thing about it is you have to be there for like 3 days to race...

There is no better time to be had in mid August than at Lorretta's.I have been going for the last 7 yrs.I look forward to it like a kid thinks of Christmas:D Plenty of great racing and off the track there are some great"sites"as well. We usually go down on Thursday night to get a good spot.

normally the only C classes i watch are production C and 265 C (my brother races them) production is hands down easier LOOKING than 265, i have no clue about 4 stroke or open though. ill check them out this weekend at mt.morris and give u the scoop.

there is no way a 300 could keep up with the 16-24 class, at high point they were putting in lap times of like 2:20!!

theres alot of people that race and arnt 16 in the amature classes. but if you get caught and ur under age, your kicked out of any ATVA AMA races for a minimum of 2 years. I wouldnt recommend it.

Alot of people change their birthday when the sign up, just bump it back a year. I called the ATVA yesterday to see what would happen if you got caught. They told be if your under 16 and racing you will be DQ'd for the event, fined, and suspended from the ama for 1 year+.
If you have an Illigal engine, you will most likly be dq'd for the event with a fine.

hmm not sure if its worth the risk to race one national but it would be nice.
