Does tires make a difference?

Well i was drag racing my friend with a stock 400ex with baffel out and he starts to get me in 4th gear I got a high comp piston hetrick pipe k&n Jetted right and he got these weird back tires 20's and i got the old xcr holeshots that are 22 11 9 and there a big bubble but i was wondering if i got 20's my qaud would pull harder in 3 and 4th gear and i have no problem in 5th gear it keeps pulling :confused: would 20's tires solve this or porting? thanks!

The weight of the tires is probly hurting you more than anything.

Yeh i kno they are heavy :(

A lot of people like the 6 ply tires for rocks. But there arent many around here. So i stick with the lighter ones.
