I am currently running a stock cam with a UNI filter, an EHS Racing Lid a 180 mainjet and a 2in endcap(ebay)

I was gonna get a exhaust but i pretty pleased with my endcap so I decided to spend on a cam instead. I read thru the search feature a my choices are down to 2 cams, the curtis sparx aggresice drop in(215$) and the HOTCAMS stage 2 (145$) for now I dont plan on getting a piston so My compressing will remain stock, I also dont plan on getting headwork.

I ride trails and gravel pits and a some woods also. wich cam should work best for me ??? the CT is 70$ more so I would like to know if it's woth the difference. ALSO ? the Hotcam stage 2 is drop in right ????

I have the sparks agressive cam and I like it a lot. It has great bottom end and the power is there all through the rev limiter.

I've ridden 450r_rider's hrc 450r a couple of times and in comparison I believe that the sparks has better bottom end and midrange. Its hard to tell on the topend but sparks told me that the hrc had one more hp than the sparks, but I'd rather have better bottom and mid anyways compared to just 1 hp on topend. Also from my own experence the sparks is way better than the 02 crf, I know because I had one.

what about hotcams ???? One more Q I saw them selling in my rockymountainatv catalog and I saw that there were selling the stage 2 for the CRF dirtibike... for 134$(free shipping) would that work in a trx ?? same head right ???

not sure about the head i think they are a little different, but the cam design for a dirt bike is going to be a lot different than one for a quad. even if it is the same engine. they factor in more low end because of the weight difference

well i got my hotcam stage two today... i havent put it in and wont until i get the exhaust and the piston in.... i was wandering though.. to anyone else that has the hotcams stage two.///.. on the box mine says HON CRF450 '02-04 HOT CAM STG2.... but on the order statement it says trx 450r hotcam stg2... it better not be the dirtbike cam.. i ordered it from rocky mountain.. and there is a little red piece of paper that came in the box that has the lift duration and all the specs. it says intake.. lift 10.1 lobe center 109.75 duration@ 1mm:248 vavle lash:.15mm exhaust:::: lift: 8.7mm lobe center 105.5 duration@1mm:268.5 vavle lash:.28mm

is this the specs for the 450r stage two cam....

is there anyway to tell just by looking at the cam
