its possible...i think it has been done..but its pointless...waste of a 400 motor...the 300 will never handle like the 400...the 350x motor is a good swap very fast...soposed to be side by side or beat a 400...so yeah...theres alot of other swaps i've seen also.

it would probley work if you put the 400's motor mounts on the 300, but like he said its pointless

its gonna be alot easier doin the 350 cuz u wont have to mount an oil cooler and an oil tank etc..

theres nothing really else anyone can say...yes its possible...but its not worth it..you would get better benifits with a different swap...i've seen 250r motors in 300s..yzf426 motors..cr250 motors..kx/cr80 motors..and alot more lol...so you have a wide choice...i mean if you wanna do it go ahead...it will work...and it will be a wheelie monster...and stuff..and prob pretty quick..so yeah lol..i dunno what else to say...but its your quad so do what makes you happy...also the stress from the more powerful motor prob will make the frame crack..so you would have to get the frame guesseted...heres the list of what i could think of that your gonna have to do...

motor mounts..pipe modding...oil tank mounting..oil cooler mounting..ect ect... if you think about it...you could build a 400 for less $ and stress then what your building this for...

let me know if you need anymore info...i got it all on customizing.
