stock filters work perfectly.

whatever kind you like. just re-jet and use a pre filter. K&N lets in the most air.

I know K&N's are great but for the amount of muddy conditions we get in north jersey I find it easier to run a UNI filter and swap in a clean on after every ride because it is usualy wet by the end of a good day. In the summer without the mud a K&N might be better though.

K&N has been working fine for me the last 5 years. I would recommend K&N if you are willing to maintenance it regularily. My K&N filters seem to get pretty dirty quickly, especially on dusty days. Sometimes I can go 2 rides without cleaning the air filter, but usually after a long day, it needs to be cleaned. Good luck.
