So Chef, how does it compare in the motor department to your other rides? Please tell. I LOVE flat trackers!

As far as HP and Torque, the motor alone, it is 15-20 up on my EX, and about the same short of my R. As far as complete bike quickness, it should be the fastest of the bunch, only weighing 315 lbs full of oil, water, and half tank of fuel. My EX weighed 358 with the HiPers and aluminum axle earlier this year, and 398 last year with Shamrocks, Champions, and an LSR Axcalibur axle. My R came in at 379 wet with Shamrocks, Billet Beadlocks, and LSR Axle.

It oughta go fass.

Chef, The fifth picture look like the rear axle and rear subframe is out, is that an illusion or is the rear swing arm or subframe twisted or something?

They do ok as long as you take good care of em. I dont know how they would do in MX, getting hit with dirt all the time though.

twisted, this bike wont see any sand for a long long time.

As far as the axle and a-arms and shock mount, if you look close enough you can figure it all out by yourself.

The left front tire is screwed up because the bike has not been setup yet. Havent set the toe, camber, or anything.

what do you do to take care of the plastic?

06-14-2004, 05:40 PM
why the big gun exhaust chef? I have heard its not that great performance wise but I still want one bad for my trx...are you keeping that one or did you just come across a good deal at the time?

Chef

I'm keepin it. Its got plenty of horsepower with it on.

I'd say the reason is because that thing is setup to go fast and turn left, and then do it again, and again, and again.......;)

chef so how did you get to 500cc ??

Bore stroke ???

Details please .....

Chef
06-16-2004, 06:24 PM
The 500 is all bore. I think its a 100 or 101mm piston with stock stroke. Its a Wiseco Big Bore cylinder, the last one of only 21 made. The first 20 were recalled, and this one was built. The valves were sent as Ti blanks from Florida, and my engine builder machined them to spec. They ended up being 2.5mm O/S. The cam is a one off Megacycle, very very radical, the bike will just barely idle. The rod and crank are from Arizona and are both fully polished, with a knife edged rod. Vortex CDI, FCR41 Carb, External Oil Cooler plumbed into the front of the case, Pro Series Radiator, Big Gun Exhaust, and no airbox. I think thats it...?

No dyno, estimated to be like 75-80 hp, and it feels like it. Don't know on torque. Its a strictly oval bike.
