I rolled my 400ex today and have to order new handlebars. I was wondering what a good bend would be. I'm going to order some MSR bars from Chapparal for like 35 bucks. I'm sure I'll bed them sooner or later so I'll try these out (anyone else tried these out?). Thanks.

The 909's are great bars for the next time you bend some bars..

I was surprisd how easy the stock bars bent. It was a really muddy day and the hill I was climbing wasn't that long but it was steep. After a few times up it started to get slick. I rolled it over once or maybe twice (can't tell when you're trying to grab the bike!!!) I didn't think anything would happen but they bent. Oh well. Anyways are the different bends for different conditions like woods, dunes, etc. There are a bunch of diffrent bends and I don't know which one to get. Thanks.

moose steel bars i got a pair after a rollover and i am a amateur and i was riding a wheelie and stood it up on the grab bar and it tipped sideways and tweaked the bars they suck. my friend has a pair of fx's and he rolled it hard and they never bent

Well if you are a aggressive rider that stands up a lot and is always in the attack position you should get the straiter bars I think the cr hi bend is awsome... If you are the type that sits down and just goes on the causual ride you will probably like the atv bend.

I have tag X-5 and didnt get to choose what bend they are. but i like them they are really low. I like my tag bars though they are great

If you roll the bike hard enough, something is going to bend... The question is what..?

Beef the bars up and you run the risk the stem will bend, beef the stem up and you run the risk the frame will bend..

I guess my point is you want the bars to bend in certain situations.. After all they are the cheapest and easiest to replace part of the system :D

I just got renthal fat bars (ricky carmichael bend) i needed an adapter for the 1 1/8 bar size. These bars are wide and very straight....i am 6-3 and i needed them wide....they are great bars

Thanks nausty, thats what I wanted to know. I'll go with the cr high bend then.

Good point Leo, but a Blaster tried the same hillclimb with the same results and walked away untouched. You're right though I'd rather replace the handlebars, it's quick, easy, and cheap.

I'd definetly go with renthals , Alot of people have them and they seem to be really tough.

I would rather pay the 50 for the steering stem then the 60 everytime my bars bent. unless you just keep buying stock bars.

I sent them my resume. The lady at UMI racing said it was the best resume she has ever read. She said I sound very enthusiastic and I love what I do. I will race at the local drag strips(there are 3) and i will also be looking into doing a little flattrackin when i get it back. We have a flattrack and then a big round track(its actually a car race track) that they race quads at about 2-3 times a year. I will be racing there too!!
