Adjusting Suspension

i saw somone with a 450r lowered on here and could somone explain how i could doit.. do i have to have that tool. and how much is that tool.

i was to, someone explained it to me once but i forgot how, is it easy

adjust preload loweres it alittle...turn the metal things at the top up & it shiuld lower it alittle...nothing drastic though

Lowering your bike an inch is pretty drastic to me. Once I adjusted my preload, the space between my frame and the ground decreased an inch, both front and rear.
