View Full Version : Help, my handlebars are shocking me

Everytime i touch my handlebars i get a very large shock. I have a Tether type kill switch and i think this has something to do with it. thanks

if you have added any thing else, remove them one at a time and see if you still get shocked until its gone then you will find your problem.Also look for bare wires.

i once touched the metal part on my motion pro kill switch and it shocked me. It must be touching something on the handlebars. Make sure the wire is not touching them, and that nothing metal on the killswitch is touching.

One time i had Scott Dolaks trick Ex in the shop and it wouldnt start because the tether had a bad ground . The clutch cable innards were theonly thing completing the loop . the quad cranked and cranked and the cluch cable innards got real hot and started smoking the insulation . With the rubber mounted st stem I guess there was no continuity . the frame was all powder coatedc also but that wasnt the problem .
