ok how about this? i'm going to get a set of tag's with the key and light mount. But I want to get ride of the little switch box by the clutch! i NEED to keep all my lights functional, kill switch dosen't matter much (i just use the key). i'm running an ASV clutch and perch but it hits the box. so if i can delete it i will. but i guess i'll have to use a Dubach hot start on the right side (ASV dosn't have it). anyone know if these will work on the R?
as you can see i'm a little confused on how i should do this. any ideas thanks

since you have to keep your lights, i would just keep the "switch box". you should beable to adjust everything where it doesnt hit your clutch perch.

I can understand why you dont want that dam box on those beautiful TAG bars. Works Connection really has the hot setup with the hot start lever included with the perch. But if you already have your lever and clutch worked out, Trail Tech sells a water proof light switch for 5 bucks.

Im sorry, let me correct myself. Works connection doesnt come with the hot start lever, the one i saw was a works connection perch with the dubach hot start. The only reason i thought it was one package was because of the identical RED anodizing. Sounds like all you need is that dubach hot start, and the light switch. If this light switch doesnt fit the TAG mount kit, and you cant find another switch that does. I would not buy the mount kit and just remount the key and light switch, its pretty easy.

BTW, do you have any pictures of that ballance pipe installed? Im thinking about getting one, last time i saw you, you were hating on that E-series (which makes since, they are a POS).

Ive seen the balance pipes too, they have a weird end fitting thing that sticks out. I guess they do add some hp tho. Sounds good also...

If the bike is hot, or warmed up to operating tempature and a guy try's to start it without the HOT START, he will be kicking about three more times than neccesary. I use it all the time, it is a must. It's opposite of the choke (which you use when the bike is cold). The hot start leans the bike out when its hot. The choke richens the bike when its cold. Both are of equal importance.

Anyone that has tried to start there 450R while there is frost developing on the seat, knows that a choke is very important. And anyone that has tried to start the 450R when you can see the left over sweat from your *** on the seat after youve already gotten up, knows that the HOT START is very important.:D

i think i'm going to just have to mount up a custom toggle for the lights. i might use a kill switch and get rid of key and kill switch though. not sure i'm still tearing the bike apart. got some time to think about it.

as far as the ballance pipe goes. it awsome. i dose not stick out at all, shorter than the factory one by a couple of inches. your welcome to come by the house and see it. (just PM me if you want to) i kind of have the R half way apart but thats another story.heres the story (http://www.trx450r.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=802)

Man im sorry to hear you broke your hand, howd that happen? If you want to do something cheap, polish your kickstarter. If you decide to do this i can give you detailed steps, its actually not too bad if you have a dremel to get the rough stuff off. I just got done with my throttle cover tonight, and that took FOREVER. Because you had to strip the paint off, then hand sand it with two different grits.

And here is the kickstarter, and the brake pedal. This is a bad picture, it looks much better in real life. I will take better pics tommarow.

DN just to throw this out there...dont know if you know this or not but u cant p/c stock honda a-arms unless u have removable ball joints....cuz the temp. needed to cure the powder will melt the rubber ball in the a-arm...so wouldnt plan on p/c the a-arms
