300/400ex jetting

I've been thinking about making three one inch holes in both my stock except 14 tooth front sprocket 01 400ex & my wifes stock 01 300ex. the local honda shop said there was no need to change jetting, does this sound right to you guys ?

You may want to go up one size on the main and adjust your air/fuel screw out maybe a 1/4-1/2 turn.
