I have just received my 38mm airstriker carb. The inlet manifold (insulator) is still stock for the 34mm. Do I use the stock maniflod or need to replace it with a CR manifold? If so which one?
Thanx

You can use the stock one, heat it with a hair dryer to make it more flexable...

You can also throw it in a pan of boiling water for a few minutes to soften it up.

I just put a small amount of WD40 on the inside of the boot where the carb touches, works good!

Mine was always a pain in the ***** to put on. Heat it up or buy a bigger boot.

CR intake and reed setup works very nicely, it is already set up for the 38 mm AS. I got mine from ESR when I put my 310 kit on. It ran like a champ. I think it is a 96 or something close. ESR was very reasonable on the price at the time. I had to use a spacer from ESR as well to keep the airbox.
