Bearing Carrier shot

well...basically what the thread says...my bearing carrier is shot...i knew the bearings were going in the assend of the bike so i aint rode it in over a mth i was tryin to find the time to rip it apart...well over the weekend my little brother and his punk *** friend got a wild hair across their asses and went in my room and took the key to my 400ex and rode it while i wasnt here...so now my carrier is shot to shyt and i dont have 150 bux to replace it...any suggestions...im pretty sure i cant get the carrier machined out because the bearings have to sit in there pretty tight in order to keep them from movin inside the housing...


to give you an idea about how bad the carrier is...when i got it off the quad turned it up and dumped the ashes or dust from the bearings that were in there...there was no bearings on the left side nor anything else except some pretty fugged up metal...imagestation.com is down right now id post pics to give the idea....but im pissed off about this cuz he took my bike and did damage and yet i still got to pay for it...sunday the 13th is his 14th bday...instead of him gettin a brand new bmx bike that cost 200 dollars like he wants...i think i should get a new bearing carrier from RAD mfg...150 bux ive already priced them

What kind of carrier you runnin? The stock one, or aftermarket? If it is the stock one man, do yourself a favor and replace it. The RAD is a good one, and it has the grease Zerk on the side so you dont need to drill your swingarm or pull the carrier out to grease it up. The stock carriers are junk and those single row bearings roast themselves pretty quick. There are usually great deals on used dual rows in great condition on ebay for cheap if you wanna go that route. Otherwise, the RAD is a great choice. If you are running an aftermarket carrier, just get a carrier rebuild kit from either LSR or Baldwin that comes with both double row bearings and a new center tube, and that will save you some loot. Hope you get it back together soon, and like I said, no hard feelings man, Ill change the avatar when I get a chance to make a new one...

better look for a new axel too i know when i rode mine a little bit home after the rear bearings took a crap it it toasted the carrier and axel! good luck !

your axle is prob. gone too & if you reinstaLL everything & the axle is fugged up your nre bearings & carrier will begone quickly & u eill have to do & buy everything ALL over aGAin/

axle is fine....the axle is a harder metal than the carrier so it ****ed the carrier up not the axle....like i said imagestation.com is down if it wont id post some pics of how ****ty this mofo looks...

i did check ebay for that rad mfg bearing carrier...thats the 1 imma get...only thing i want to kno is do they come with bearings or i gotta buy them separately

Imagestation is workin fine for me but I think you owe your brother and his friend a *** kickin. I know thats what would my bro wouild if i did that to his quad.

believe me...ill get revenge on them 1 way or nother...im thinkin like shavin some kids head bald 1 nite in their sleep...see i didnt have 150 bux to repalce the entire carrier...and neither do they or their parents....but both of them are going to come up with 75 bux a piece

yup the axle should be fine. I got a burgard carrier and it is cool
very durable so far. id reccomend it and btw all carriers come with bearings and seals.

So I take it your brother spends just a LITTLE money on his bikes.... Either that or hes got some killer sponsors to be able to have that many fresh bikes every year... Those things are all super clean and nice lookin bikes!!!
