i just want to tell you that is one of the best looking explorers that i have seen. i never see any that nice around were i live and thats kinda seems odd because there are lots of lifted trucks. but thats just it they are all lifted trucks. anyways nice Ford!

I not into the Ford -vs- Chevy thing. If it looks cool, I'll drive it. I just like the lines of this Explorer body style.

My brother has a nice lifted Chevy truck. It's a sweet ride, but there are so many out there right now that it is just one of the crowd...part of the cool crowd that is!:devil:

actually out of all jeep trucks i have ever seen like that yours is probably #2 nicest i have seen. the only one that beats yours is a kids at schools that looks brand and i mean it brand spankin new. nice truck!!!!!!!!

I like your truck:D I've always liked the old jeeps. what tires are you runnin? its hard to tell but If I had to guess I'ld say 35x14.50x16.5 tsl super swampers? If so how do you like them? I've had boggers, tsl sx, tsl radials, and thornbirds. Never owned regular tsl's. strange huh:huh

The truck is an 1980 J20 3/4 ton, Dana 60 rear, 44 front. .456 gears with lockers front and rear

The tires aren't too bad, but I don't expect but so good a ride from it.

Your kidding me those are the same tires I have for my powerwagon! I have them mounted on 12" eagle wheels. they seem to look bigger on mine but then again that style jeep always seemed to make big tires look smaller. It still looks really good though.:D

it's like a poser truck though, it's just a pavement pounder why make a truck somthing it's not, it has 20" rims and street tires, you slam a street truck and lift an offroad truck, that's just how it goes

I'ld agree if it where still 1990 but its 15 years later. Trucks come out of the factory looking like this. Its not posing:rolleyes:

My first reaction if I saw it on the street would be "WTF, hey everybody look at how much more money that I can throw at my $40,000.00 suv." or maybe I'ld think "Thats about all the modding they can do and still be able to turn it in when the lease is up."

Oddly enough thats the first thing I'ld do if it where mine, sure I would do more mods but thats where I'ld start. You say its not custom with only wheels and tires (probably a killer system inside too). But take the very same suv with a cool paint job (which is probably the next step for this one)and now its custom. Everything starts somewhere. Whats the first mod you did on your quad? tires, exhaust, wheel, filter? Is that a poser to the guy who has a full LSR chassis and long travel suspension with a stroker kit? Maybe or maybe its just a really good start on building a nice custom machine!

Personally if anyone is a poser I would say its the hummer drivers! I know what hummers can and can't do. I can almost promise you that not one single hummer owner has any clue about their limitations off road!

:huh whaaa, come outta left field, to start i never said it wasn't a custom, not sure where ya picked that up :confused: and secondly yesssss it is a poser i guess maybe you just didn' understand me clearly i dunno, and wherever you get that trucks come from the factory with 9" suspension lifts is beyond me cause there actually not street legal and the reason being that it is a poser truck is it's got this 9" lift and done all up like an offroad truck and then they slam a set of street tires on it fact of the matter is the truck will never see dirt and i seriously doubt he needs that much lift to clear speed bumps:huh
