yes, removing the airbox lid, rejetting, and taking out the spark arrester will improve power. This is a dyno run for a YFZ 450 with the same thing done to it that you are doing VS. stock.

The RED line is stock

The GREEN line is with a removed airbox lid, and Removed spark arrester.


Notice the DIP in HP on the bottom end. On GTthunders website it says this is from improper (lean) jetting. He said once he rejetted, it produced even more HP. So overall PEAK HP it sounds like it pushed 3 more Horse than stock. Sounds very worthwhile to me.
