im guessing its a flat metal or what if its flat metal take a good stiff pice of poster board and trace it and tell me how thick it is and the size of the holes if this one is threaded could you snap a quick pic of it email address is jpsshack@fuse.net

Thanks

p.s was the mod worth it?!

Its not the same thickness all the way through. Part is about a 1 thick piece of aluminum and part about 1/2 and another a 1/4 thats all machined. The 2nd problem would be getting the pins to line up right with the spindle bolts.

The 3rd problem is i'm not going to take apart my reasembled for the first time in 6 moths quad apart to take a picture. I mean to sound rude but its been aprt for a long time and its not coming back apart for awhile.

Here is a link for some for sale.

I'll let you know how the brake work tonite. I'll get it out for the first time this evening. I rebuilt the calipers when i got them but I didn't keep track of what the stuff cost.

How do you guys like the rear caliper?

Does it eat up brakes like the Ex's and does it need an adapter also? My brother goes through brakes like crazy.

I would also like to see if my 450r one fits the Ex sometime.

To do the rear end on an ex to an R is more expensive than the fronts. First you need the 250R Carrier Bracket, then a 250R axle lock nut a 250R axle and Carrier.

any way to tell for sure that you have a R axel it lookes like to me that they just switched the brake hub and rotor on mine!

Were are you located in ohio i never heard of that place im in cincinnati where u at?

Im about 20 minutes east of Canton Ohio Canton is where the pro football hall of fame is. As far as the axle I have a 400ex style swing arm on my aftermarket frame for my yz 450 and when Jb racing asked if I wanted to Run a rear 250R caliper thats what I needed. Actually every one I have ever seen has had all of the R parts but Maybe yours is different I personally would have to look. There is not much of a difference with ex and R axles except the splines are different for the hubs and I believe a slight difference with the carriers. I know for a fact an ex axle will not fit in an R carrier. Hope that might help.

All I have is a few R parts. I dont do any motor work, my dad built all my R motors but were leaving my new 4-stroke to the professionals lol.
