I just had mine fixed it is a common problem. It is stainless steel it took the guy like 10 minutes to weld it. He made it strong not pretty. It shouldnt cost much to weld. but you might want to start putting money aside for a new one because the way he talked after welding it the weld wont break but it will probly crack again. Also check the bracket that goes from the pipe to the can mine was cracked.
The Brace at the top was cracked you cant really tell from the pic. Sorry bout the quality of it i pulled it from some video. I will try to get a pic of it welded.

No offense, but that isn't the best weld job I've ever seen. Was that done with a MIG welder? The guy I work with (aircraft welder/machinist) did mine with a MIG and it has really held up well. I guess if you have money to throw around you could buy another pipe, but that extra four bills could go a long way somewhere else.

YEP ours is the same way :( my FMF Megamax also did it on my 300, Ron took that into work to repair, it looks terrible but is much better now, still has a small leak so when he take the WB in I may have him do mine again!! Wish we could afford new pipes, he's needing a header pipe so he can pump his up, but DAMN there expensive too :( Thank God my 300 came w/ the full setup or I'd still be stock I"m sure:rolleyes:

Mine cracked too. I bought some high-temp epoxy and put all the way around the joint. That was 6-months ago. It's held just fine. No more leak.

Maybe I'm wrong but the problem with welding it is you are using steel on aluminum aren't you?

The part that gets welded is stainless steel not aluminum. The can is aluminum. You do have to weld it right to get it to hold the problem is once it starts to get a hole then it doesnt stop it will start at the weld and the process starts again.

My white bros pipe did that along time ago so i just fixed it with a beer can and hose clamps... and then if just broke all the way threw after a lil while. So i got a new LRD ( money well spent ) and I took my old white bros pipe shined it all up and hung it in my bedroom on the wall looks kinda cool.... just a thought for everyone out there.
