Mike Smith, found out just an hour before race time that he was paged to leave for Iraq by the end of the month. Smith figured he had a once in a possible life-time chance to race Pro, and that he did.
Mike we wish you love and luck over in Iraq, fighting for our country. After a welcoming round of applause on the starting line, Smith ended up not finishing the race.

The green flag went up and Mike Houston dusted out the Pros, taking the holeshot. Getting into the woods first at a race like this was crucial because the motocross track was going to be dusty. Santo DeRisi jumped over the whoops second with Bryan Cook in third.

On the second row: the A Class.
Eddy Siegers takes the holeshot, but looses his swing arm after the whoops. Will Cashion takes a blow when getting hit off the double jump. Cashion still held onto the lead into the woods.

I just don't want to hear any excuses when I leave him in the dust that he was racing injuried:devil: :blah:

Seriously, I look forward to racing with the top runners in the class and I hate to see anyone get hurt. Will has come a long way this year as a racer, and I enjoy battling with him on the track.

Watch your Tongue, there whipper snapper!!!

I almost DNFed before the race even started. I was about to load up the Z for the race the other day and noticed a few drops of blue fluid on the shop floor. It ended up being radiator fluid, so I was like, huh????

I went for a ride and came back and half the fluid was gone in about 5 minutes of riding. I found out that my water pumps mechanical seal went bad, so luckily I just bought another spare engine and took the seal out of it.

I wouldn't have finished one lap before the engine would have seized up most likely, so I am thankful that I noticed it at the last minute. I am sure you are just as happy as I am that this tragedy was avoided.

By the way Will, I have had my share of problems this year. I probably shouldn't have finished Rausch Creek, but I never quit if I can avoid it at all cost.

I know you've had problems. I'm just tired of that 20 point lead you have. Wouldn't you like to watch the AM race for a change? :blah:

well let me put it this way. I drove from chattanooga tn to race and all i got out of it was a bent belly skid, two bolts ripped out of my swingarm skid that i have to re-tap, brand new set of cut razr 2's and a concusion from piledriving the ground head first in 4th gear pinned. And dont let me forget... a 85.00 texaco bill.
Pointy rocks the size of iceburges....I will not go back...All 6 of my buddies agree that the rocks were no fun...Us non-sponcered riders can not afford to tear up our quads once a week and have to spend 300.00 fixing it.

07-02-2004, 07:42 PM
i make a belly skid you wont bend . it was rough i lost a rear skid too but i did enjoy it i like the hard stuff though

s.d.BABB
07-05-2004, 07:41 PM
yeah i like the rough stuff.... but dang.....ther are no reason cutting a course through a jagged rock garden.....racing supose to be fun and challenging...not a rock crawling contest...i should have raced a grizzly if i wanted to rock crawl. I know the track supose to be challenging but dang.....I dont like abuseing my 12,000 quad....i spent way to much time building it just to tear it up in an hour......dont get me wrong i (and my buddies) loved the track and the trails....we were impressed......but why should we have to shred through tires and rip hi dollar aftermarket parts off our quad just to have fun?
