well its time to upgrade my suspension, and ive heard good things about the stock 450r shocks. I dont have the money for a-arms now, and a set of the R shocks are like 250 bucks. Do you think its a good idea or should i save some more and buy elkas or pep's? Ive heard the 450 shocks are better than the works steelers so i pretty much ruled them out. What's your opinion?

Hey, I'm kinda in the same boat! how would stock 450r shocks really compare to the works? I'm to cheap for aftermarket shocks!

True....A guy here on the board by the name of Tore Up did it and last I heard he hasn't had any problems. Looked like A good mod when I saw it.

Oooooops! I'm sorry.... I thought I read yfz450 shocks not 450r shocks. Tore up used yfz450 shocks. As far as the 450r shocks go someone on the board did do it and he said he had to grind down the top of the shock to make it fit. Do a search and you will find some info. Alot of people like to flame the subject though.
Good luck
